The Process
Consultations with our doctors on non-emergent procedures are available Monday through Friday. These consultations are typically 30 minutes in length, during which our doctors will review your pet’s medical history and perform a physical exam before discussing treatment options. Dependent on examination findings, further diagnostics may be necessary such as radiographs (x-rays) or blood work. More emergent surgery cases will be handled on a case-by-case basis and will be seen by a doctor as soon as possible.

After completing your consultation with one of our doctors, here are a few things you can expect after scheduling surgery here:
-
Drop off is usually between 8:00-8:30 am Tuesday & Thursday.
-
No food after 9 pm the night before surgery. Water throughout the night is fine.
-
Please bring any medications, or a list of current medications your pet is on with you.
-
Depending on which medications your pet is on, the doctor may want you to give your pet their medications the morning of surgery.
-
It is fine to give medications in a small treat, such as a piece of cheese or spoonful of peanut butter.
-
When you arrive on the morning of your pet’s surgery, a member of our surgery team will meet with you. You will be asked to fill out a consent form, sign a copy of the estimate, and give us the best phone number to reach you at. Keep your phone with you at all times in case we need to consult with you the day of surgery.

Internal Medicine
Typically, consultations take around 30 minutes to complete. If further diagnostics are recommended, a separate appointment will need to be scheduled.
During the consultation, the doctor will review your pet’s medical history, perform a physical exam, discuss recommended diagnostics and treatments, and answer any questions you may have.
Once diagnostics and/or a treatment plan are chosen, your pet may need to spend a few hours with us after the consultation to perform any necessary diagnostic tests, or schedule for another day.
Once your consultation is completed, if your pet needs to come back for further diagnostics, an additional appointment will need to be made. These are a few things you can expect:
-
Drop off is between 8-8:30 am.
-
No food after 9 pm the night before, but water through the night is usually fine.
-
Please bring any medications your pet is taking with you if they need medication throughout the day, or a list of medications.
-
Please bring those medications in the prescription bottles if necessary.
-
For patients that are being dropped off with us for the day, the receptionists will have a form for you to fill out that will give the doctor current information regarding your pet.
The form includes when they last ate, when they last received their medications, etc. Click the link below to preview this form:
